Overview

Big Sky Resort is one of America's largest ski areas, boasting 5,850 acres of skiable terrain serviced by 36 lifts. The area offers 15 percent beginner terrain, 25 percent intermediate terrain, 42 percent advanced terrain, and 18 percent expert terrain. In 2019, the resort turned it up a notch and added a triple black diamond designation to some of the expert terrain accessed from Headwaters Ridge and the Lone Peak Tram.

In the summer months, Big Sky Resort offers lift serviced hiking, mountain biking, zip lining, and scenic tours.

Big Sky Resort abuts the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area in the Gallatin National Forest, which offers many hiking trails to area lakes and peaks.
