Elk Meadow Park South Trailhead is a trailhead at 7683 feet. Counter clockwise loop is easier down Sleepy and then turning on Elk Ridge trail then again on Meadow loop trail complete the loop. This route has a lot of shade unlike the all meadow route at the other trail head. Loop is 2.7 miles with elevation gain of 340 feet. Trails are well marked, some switchbacks. Nice trail for dogs but keep them leashed due to bikes and bears.
