Easy access to the toe of the glacier and interesting loop walk back.

Excellent but challenging hike. Choose a day with good weather and little to no cloud cover and it will be very much worth while. PS: Go with a guide, the crevasses are starting to open up

A rather easy, but astonishing hike around the western shore until you reach the outskirts of the glacier. The amazing thing is that you’ll definitely hear (and most likely see) some of the “icebergs” breaking apart, as you hike your way. If you go cross country beyond the marked path, you may need to ford some ankle deep rivers flowing into the lake (so take along some sandals)
