Great views. Moderate climb up to ridge line. Cool geology. Nice walk along ridge. Superb views. Inconsistent wind. Descent through talus field was annoying at times. Marmots everywhere—seemed to have been fed, as they often approached us.
Creek was shallow—made a dry crossing by going on rocks.
Campgrounds nearest the trail were best for bugs but worst for commute to cooking shack / lake.
Would have been nice to bring gravity filter—nicer for lakes.
