Very long, steady initial grind to 300+metres to start. Good views out to sea nearer the top. Going counter-clockwise, you would have a more pleasant climb but the scenery on that stretch – deciduous forest and stream - is much more interesting and nicer to have on the homeward leg. The terrain is much tougher, with rocks and tree roots, so it might also take more out of you going up it.
