Early September is a great time to do this hike! Minor scrambling involved. Requires car shuttling (30 minute drive). Given the distance, and elevation gain, this is a difficult, but worthy hike. South to north is the suggested direction of travel (Ribbon Ck to the Wind Valley parking area).

Fantastic hike! Phenomenal 360 views, hard to not trip over your feet when you are trying to take in the views! Wildflowers in the valley as well. One of my top hikes of all time.

Took the Direct Route up and the ACC Route down, both are steady, steep climbs, with reasonably easy trail finding and minimal exposure. The final few hundred metres is over large talus. The ridgetop is wide and comfortable to hike along. We got caught in a short burst of heavy winds and rain on the ridgetop, where there is NO WHERE to get shelter. Check forecasts before your hike to make sure you aren't caught in a thunderstorm up high.

Trails are in great condition and the alpine meadows are LOADED with wildflowers. The trail across the alluvial flats may have changed as there are numerous small creek crossing where there weren't other years (easy to cross though). Waterproof hiking boots or poles to help with balance on the logs may be beneficial for creek crossings.

Amazing mountain biking loop! Steady climb but not too steep. Technical with rocks/roots. Super fun flowy downhill!

June 4, 2019. Trail completely dry, lake good for jumping in! The spring is only about a km past the lake and is uphill but I wouldn't say it was steep. Easy trail to follow.

Hikes to rae glacier June 17, 2019. Trail is completely dry. Super easy trail to elbow lake then some easy route finding up to the nearly melted glacier. Beautiful views!

Did this hike on April 23, 2019. Still snow on top and some icy sections where we were glad to have spikes/poles. Absolutely gorgeous hike, one of my favorites!! Check for bear closures before heading out! Hike starts on the north side of the bridge and starts going up right away. Short and steep until you get to the ridge then it's a flat wide ridge walk to the top!

Pleasant spring hike with only a few patches of snow. Some muddy and wet patches, but nothing serious. The trees are just coming out.

Nov 7 2018. 0-3 inches snow, no spikes/crampons/gaiters required. No avy risk. More scrambling over loose large rocks than I would like. Rimwall and Windtower are better IMO.
