Definitely challenging for a quick short hike but stunning views and some fun steep descents. Took us about 3 hours to complete

This is an Alpine route subject to snow and ice at any time. Track will be invisible in heavy snow. Very rough Southern link from Devils Throne to Thark Ridge is closed. Rest is very rough unformed surface. Maintained by volunteers under supervision of Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service. Expect to get wet and dirty, and lost and injured if unprepared! Seek authoritative information from Wellington Park Management Trust or other reliable sources

Perfect hike to prepare you for bigger adventures! I’m training for Larapinta so the rocky fire trails will be similar to that , I expect

Have wanted to do this hike as love sleeping beauty mountain as a kid. Did Collins bonnet not long ago so today I did trestle. The views from the top are amazing. Lots of walking on fire trails. Saw a massive snake coming down from the top

Such a steep start really made this a tough walk for an unfit guy like me! After the main ascent, though, it was a joy - especially the boulder hopping during the final climb.
