The hike in was easy and well marked, descends a creek bed until just before the creeks meet. There is a short 15m abseil then the creek narrows. The canyon then follows the creek line down

This is a relatively easy fire tail wall with spectacular views from the lookout.

Trail down to breakfast creek / cox’s river junction is great. One lovely lookout along the way. Trail back up to Frying Pan Flat and along Breakfast Creek Trail, plus the track along Carlon Creek Trail are super overgrown and require bush bashing. Wear long pants for nettles. If I did it again, would probably make it an out and back.

Second super steep stairways of the day, pretty tough ngl. The first part is a bit touristy, but it becomes much better at the bottom towards Leura falls, so much nature!

Incredible diverse vegetative communities along the dry ridges, plunging into lush valleys.
Being winter there was plenty of wattle and flannel flower.
Well marked junctions where the walking/biking trails met with fire trails.
Paradise pool is spectacular but I didn’t swim today!

When at the pagoda at the end of the track, go into the stream to the right of the pagoda. After 100m of flat easy walking in stream you arrive at a waterfall. There is a large cave to the left, and around the corner to the right after proceeding down waterfall there is another large cave above you. Canyon floor is narrow with trees and lots of ferns.

Not a popular trial. But quite interesting and challenging for beginners like me. If get to ruined Castle try to climb all the way up to the big rock. The view is worth it. Just mind your steps and be safe while doing so. Enjoy

National parks rates sections of this as hard. Some decent and assent sections steep, but not hard.
Lovely 12km loop. We took our time and completed in under 5 hours. We stopped in Leura forest and watched the Lyre birds frolic in the undergrowth - brilliant.

Track descends quite steeply down into rainforest that crosses a small creek a few times. There are several rock overhangs and one substantial cave suitable for camping.

The second cube-shaped monument is located further away from the Victory Track and the rough track to it is obscured and overgrown.

Great loop for a day hike. Start out by descending the Giant Stairway to Dardanelles Pass, the Leura Cascades and return via Prince Henry Cliff Walk.
