Most of this track is wide and anyone can do it. The last 5% though is a narrow ridge line and a little scramble. But if you’ve already hiked 6.5km up this mountain you’d be able to go the final distance.

Glorious views, mossy covered rocks, crystal clear streams and towering gums. The sounds of the Lyrebirds on this walk are special. At this time of the year they’re mating and the males are trying their best to impress so sing beautifully and loudly. There was still some snow on the ground so slippery in places especially towards the top of the Hump.

New waterproof gear, testing in preparation for OLT in March. Got a lot of testing today... 40 mls or so, didn’t get all the way to the top as visibility was about 40m... so had lunch and returned... will need to do again!
