Dynamite and Goldmine Trail Loop(edit)

Overview

This is a easy loop trail in San Tan Mountain Regional Park. There are a couple spots on either side of the Goldmine summit with slick exposed rock. Shoes with decent tread would be advisable. As with all low desert trails, you will be completely exposed with no shade. Take sun protection and plenty of water.

Getting Started

There is a decent amount of parking at the Goldmine Trailhead. Fees are $7 per vehicle or $2 per person if you walk or bike in (As of February 2019). The parking does fill up on busy weekends and there are no parking signs outside of the park. You would be best advised to go to the other trailhead at the main entrance and approach the loop that way.

Taking Children

Most children will do fine on most of this trail. The washouts leading up to the Goldmine summit can be a bit slippery, small children will likely need some help navigating these areas.
