Overview

This is a easy one way trail in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. This ends at the water. Where you can tent camp, picnic, swim, fish, kayak etc. There is a dry toilet on the way to the water. (That is also the turn, to hike Fortification Hill Trail). A 2x4 high clearance vehicle can do this. I have seen cars do it, but I wouldn't suggest it, with the ruts. Shore line is limited and get packed on nice days. Only about 15 autos can tailgate AT the water here. Others park above (300-500 ft), and set up base camp. Wild burros are often seen here. You can primitive camp here for up to 14 days for free.

This trail goes by Lake Mead.

Taking Children

Many families recreate at the water. This is a cove, so there is near no waves/wakes. Which is GREAT for swimming. And the rocks are smaller here, to walk on, vrs at the near by Boulder Beach.
