Nantahala National Forest via Blackrock Trail(edit)

trail_hike_comments: A mostly ridge-top trail offering wintertime views in all directions. Climbs moderately and has moderate erosion along its length, leading to the Moderately Rough rating. Connects with the Overlook trail just past the summit of Blackrock Mountain to form a nice loop on the north side of the valley., trail_bike_comments: Somewhat steep in places; eroded sections. Nice ridge-top ride providing options for some longer loops on the north side of Panthertown. Combine with Powerline Road and North Road (both more like singletrack to doubletrack trails) to make a nice loop, with some optional out-and-backs to other popular destinations in the valley (such as Schoolhouse Falls or Frolictown Falls).
