1st ride of 2025!
The initial ride into the valley is harder than u think. Slightly uphill, breathing hard 90% of the time.
Then u tackle the first REAL hill. Loose, steep, painful. If u ride to the tower, u will suffer. And then if u do the next ride to the oak tree, u will burn.
BUT, if u make it to the ridge, it’s all worth it. Great views, level ground. Beautiful. Stick with it, cuz the last part is easy.

Felt strong. Moderate gradual hill ride, then down HOHH. Tried super steep Canyon View trail, and got 1/3 up. Tire coming off the trail! Next time, gear 1/1, and lean way forward.
