This is a moderate out and back trail in Nez Perce National Forest.

This trail goes by South Fork Group Use Site #5, South Fork Campground, Castle Creek Campground, Castle Creek Trailhead, Nelson Creek Campground, Jungle Creek Campground, McAllister Picnic Area, Cotter Bar, Blackerby Picnic Area, and McAlister Trailhead.
