Lakeshore Rd cutoff
This was unbelievable. Skated really late in the day on the same hand me down endless wheels, 4 x 84. Took 9 minutes off the best time by concentrating on running the descents. They laid down new pavement from river and rails to the middle road. Light south wind. Was pretty conservative on the two mandatory stops, carving and sliding to keep the speed down. At the final stop, end of lakeshore, a woman rolled down her window and yelled how fun it looked. She saw me sliding as she rounded the corner. The descents felt solid but the speed increase from last time was noticeable.

Lakeshore cutoff
relatively new 4x90 macroblades, it was hard going into a north wind all the way to the bottom of whallons bay but these skates are not as fast as the the 84s with endless wheels. 4x90 fast on the descents but clunky on the climbs. This set up slides with ease which is alarming at first when used to the grip of endless wheels. Be interesting to try the newest endless 90s on these boots for comparison. Wondering if bearings are part of the difference.

Lakeshore cutoff clockwise
marcroblade 4x84 with hand me down endless 90 wheels, fast setup and noticeable on the final descent to the launch, looked back at the old tracks and it appears this is within seconds of being the fastest time for this loop and considering I sat on the road before the last downhill to tighten skates, it is the quickest, nice work, between big drops on the final descents was hit in the head by a partridge
