Gold Nugget Point Loop(edit)

7/18/25 - The four of us started out together, but when we got to the end of our block, Coco opted out. We walked her back home, put her in the house, and then the remaining three of us took off on our daily walk. What made this more interesting was we actually encountered a garbage truck. The noise from the garbage truck scared up a small deer. I actually thought it was a fawn until I saw an even smaller deer come out from the the open field following the bigger one. Thankfully, neither Sassy nor Gracie barked at the deer. We just enjoyed watching them go into the field across the street. 

7/20/25, 9 PM - Friday, Coco only went to the end of the block before he balked. Then we all came back and I left Coco here. Yesterday, we took a total day off from walking and from throwing the ball (because Gracie vomited up all that water on Friday). Today Coco wasn’t even around when I was getting the dogs ready for their walk. I didn’t try to hunt her down because I figured she was tired of going. We heard her barking a few times, but that was it. Of course, Gracie and Sassy loved the walk, and it was very pleasant for me too after Saturday’s hiatus.

7/16/25, 8 AM - We got off to an earlier start than usual today, actually returning before 8 a.m. We had a good walk around the big circle, which is a little over a mile.  When we stopped to pick up the mail on our return, suddenly Coco was loose! I am not sure what the issue was, but he stayed with us and we all got safely home. 

7/22/25, 8:53 AM - Coco accompanied us to the end of the block, and then we returned her to the house. Sassy and Gracie walked with me the rest of the way. It was quite nice and we encountered a wonderful breeze as we headed up that big hill before coming down toward Gold Arrow, our home stretch.

7/24/25, 8:54 AM - the time on this trip is misleading, because one of Noble and Deb‘s neighbors stopped to chat with me on Gold Arrow. We also ended up walking Coco back when we got to the end of the block so that I could just take the other two on the walk.

7/23/25, 8:48 AM - Amazingly, ALL of us made this walk, including Coco!! Coco stayed with us the whole time, never dragging her feet or acting like she was going to plop down on her bottom. She did wonderfully and — of course — so did Gracie and Sassy!

7/15/25, 8:52 AM - The dogs and I went all the way around that huge circle that comes back to the house! I was a little worried that it was going to be a longer walk than I expected, but it worked out just fine. Everybody did really well!

7/26/25, 8:44 AM - Noble came along with all three of us. He and Coco turned around a little early, but no problem. Gracie, Sassy, and I finished the circle and had a great walk! 

7/17/25, 8:41 AM - we had a very good walk, although there was a dog in somebody’s yard early on our walk, so Sassy and Coco barked and barked. Beyond that, the walk went very well!

7/9/25, I took a great walk with Gracie this morning. We went further than I anticipated, but she really seemed to enjoy it and it was fun for me too!
