Great workout, view over the valley. Open to night hike. Not “easy”. Difficulty similar to Piestawa for reference, except this trail is more natural vs. man-made stairs. Far less crowded. My PR on Piestawa (28min to flag, 1.1mi one way) is actually faster than Black Mountain (32min to flag, 1.2mi one way) after 20 or so runs at each. It’s worth the effort, enjoy!

This is a short but challenging hike because of how steep it is the majority of the way up. There are jagged rocks which make for an interesting and non boring hike. I do not know why this is rated as easy, but it is not easy.
