Day 04: Huayhuash to Viconga Hot Springs

Depart Huayhuash camp and follow a gentle trail uphill for 1hr45min to reach Portachuelo de Huayhuash (4,770m), with panoramic views of Trapecio and the Cordillera Raura. From the pass, a short climb continues before descending gradually past Laguna Viconga through open pastures and grazing sheep. Navigation is straightforward on well-trodden paths.
