Went down sheep creek, along the lower Rim Trail and up the Swamp Canyon Connector. Very pleasant and quiet meadow to start. Eventually turns downhill when you see the cliffs and from then on lots of loose rock and sand for the remainder. Marker flags along the wash, easy to see from our end but if you did the loop CCW may be difficult. Went through a desolate apocalyptic dry swamp. The. The last mile a steady slog up hill back to the look out. Started at 1030 and finished around 1300ish. High 70s today so pleasant but the swamp and up to the top would be rather uncomfortable if it was much hotter.

Nice loop with great views throughout. Recommend going counter clockwise - steep down and more gradual backside.
