North Lake to South Lake via Lamarck Col
Still requires shuttling or extra hiking, but cuts out the BS of going around to the Evolution Valley. Links Evolution Valley and Dusy basin in one epic, chafe-inducing vision quest.
I'm worried about offtrail travel to get through Lamarck Col due to snow conditions. Worried that we would have to carry extra gear and ditch fly rods. On the other hand, the mileage is significantly less.
Friday: Pick permits and hike into the base of Lamarck Col
Saturday: Hike through the col to Evolution Valley
Sunday: Hike to Dusy Basin
Monday: Hike out and drive home!
