Gillette Lake and beyond (3/14/19, 8:08:12AM)
We were looking for a low elevation hike since there is still snow and ice at the higher elevations. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. There are some nice views of Table Mountain and Sacagawea and Papoose Rocks. I wanted to hike to the marked vista point on the map, but it wasn't all that spectacular as the sun was in the wrong place and it overlooked Bonneville which is not the most scenic with the electrical wires and towers. The hike also crosses under some electrical towers and there are some trucks hauling stone at one point. But, all in all a nice hike and not difficult at all.
