Discovery Pass is required to park in the parking lot. The parking lot is patrolled regularly by the sheriff. This hike is in a very well maintained trail built out of an old service/logging road. It is very wide and is heavily trafficked. Excellent for dogs but please pack out your dog disposal bags. There are a number of smaller trails branching off the main trail suitable for exploration.
