Hike started out pleasant, beautiful morning sky. But as the sun came out, the desert just looked like a desert. No colors, no running rivers, no gorgeous vegetation. It was a summer day, and I was glad I was given a heads-up about carrying water. I drank every drop of the four liters I carried. So I’m glad I hiked that day, but not overly impressed with the scenery. At least Telegraph Pass has lots of awesome cacti and a bit of greenery.
