Road to Paradise was closed, so started on the Wonderland trail from Longmire to Carter Falls. Had been cloudy and snowing the past couple days but clouds broke just long enough on the hike back for Rainier to reveal herself

Longmire Wonderland Trail through Carter Falls

28-33 degrees, slush and snow. Became lead tracks at Carter Falls trailhead. Snow 8-10 inches deep. Trekking poles, Northface and Thermal top, Gortex and athletic pants bottoms. Soaked through top and thermal, needs new waterproofing. Pants worked great. Little hot.
