Grizzle Ocean Trail(edit)

Packing in from Putnam Pond Campground to Pharaoh Lake Lean-to #3, with its beautiful vistas over Pharaoh Lake, amazing sunsets and early morning fogs, great swimming, comfortable rock ledges for reading and lounging, and absolute privacy. No-one stopped by during our two days based at the lean-to (Wednesday and Thursday overnights in mid-August). The loon songs were magnificent, as was the Perseid meteor shower. And this was a great base for a day-hike up Pharaoh Mountain (although a little farther away than most of the other lean-tos and campsites on the lake.)
