Nice hike. Several gates to open and close for grazing. No bikes allowed. Would be too hot on summer. Ricer access in a couple of places.

We knew starting out it would be hot and dry since we hiked it in July. Didn't know until we finished and checked it out on the "EBMUD" website that a for pay permit was required. We hiked counter clockwise and the first 1/2 of the trail was through grazing land with many cows. The pedestrian section was very enjoyable with limited views of the Mokelumne River.
