Hager Mountain Lookout via 160 Trail(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate one way trail in Fremont-Winema National Forest. This trail goes by Hager Mountain Lookout.

This trail climbs up to Hager Mountain through a forest of ponderosa pine and across meadows where you will have views of the Cascades. This is a great hike in late June and early July when the wildflowers are blooming. It's a stiff climb so bring plenty of water.

Getting Started

The trailhead parking along the road has room for about four cars. The trail heads east from the parking area.

Taking Children

This is a long hard climb and may not be suitable for young children.
