Easy to moderate hike. 7 to 7.5 miles and less than 1,000 ft of ascent. Trails are mostly exposed to the sun and breeze. Visiting the Portola Discovery site provides some historical perspective to what the Portola Expedition observed when they reached this area. On clear days one can see the ocean, the SF Bay, Mt Diablo in the East Bay, and Mount Tamalpais to the north, in addition to views of Daly City and San Francisco, SF international Airport, San Bruno Mountain, Montara Mountain, Pacifica, and Point Reyes.
