I've hiked and biked this trail. It's a much better hiking trail than a riding trail (offers no real flow due to the water crossings). On 6/4/2025, there was quite a bit of water to cross. The trail does get abused some as there is graffiti and a little bit of trash, but it's close and offers good shade along the way. The only other downside besides graffiti is that the stretch back to the parking area is fairly steep and offers no tree cover.
