Horseshoe Ridge Loop via Gateway Loop
This is a easy loop trail in McDowell Sonoran Preserve.
This hike starts out from the very well maintained Gateway Trailhead in Scottsdale, AZ. This trailhead has plenty of parking, restrooms and water. The Gateway loop is a 4.5 mile hike that takes you up a low saddle and winds back around to the trailhead. Along the way you will have beautiful views of the desert and during the spring the wildflowers are in bloom adding to amazing landscape. The trail is somewhat rocky so you will want to wear study hiking shoes and bring plenty of water.
