Savage Campground via Alpine Loop(edit)

Pretty straight up to beautiful overlook and continuous views of the mountains, including Denali. Could see most of Denali all of the time and pretty much all of it some of the time. Walk along windy ridge at top and then descend through pretty yellow and red fall shrub. Ultimately follow creek to parking lot. Took shuttle to trailhead so this a one way.
