Good hike overall. Parking is minimal but there is more parking available at a nearby campground that is only about a half a mile away. Much of the trail has been made easier with steps and ramps built in, but there still remains some challenging root systems to navigate, and some muddy spots. It took us a little less than an hour to hike the 1.5 mile trail from the lower parking lot to the top, but as we crested the final hill we were richly rewarded by the wonderful sound of the ocean and a short hike through the lighthouse grounds. If you have someone willing to drive instead of hike, they can bring the car up to the lighthouse so you don’t have to retrace your steps back down, but if not, the return is good exercise with ups and downs most of the way back. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
