Rob: Comet Falls
Cool little hike that feels a lot longer than it is... probably because there's lots to look at :0) Good elevation, fairly steep with lots of big man-made steps. The trail follows the stream pretty much the entire way up, so there's tons of little waterfalls / punchbowls. The trail is high above the creek, so be sure to take the small paths along the way to hit the viewing areas. Near the end, there's a great smaller waterfall (pretty big, but smaller than Comet) that's a great spot for lunch. We carried on to Comet (only 200 feet farther), and came back to have lunch. This was a GREAT running trail on the way down. Not too many hikers here, which is surprising because it was a perfect day ( the Paradise lot was full and there were TONS of cars still going up).
Beautiful waterfalls all the way up to Comet Falls. Incline hike. Moderate. Some cool bridges. Bring tripod for this one!
