Godd easy to slightly moderate hike. Necessitates a slick rock friction climb. Slow steady small steps will get up the rock. The hike is a shepherds hook trail you actually hike below it and past it then cut diagonally across the rock to climb to it. Its been marred by a lot of names carved into the rock. Good views from the accompanying peak to the North. There are lots of false cairns that if followed will not take you to the site.

Definitely will be taking this hike again. Detoured accidentally at the beginning since there are no major trail markers, but we got back on track and it was well worth the almost completely uphill hike. You can go into the vortex, you can see a worn trail around the outside of it.
