Mount Bigelow via Incinerator Ridge
Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail to Mount Bigelow in Coronado National Forest.
This trail goes by Barnum Rock, Leopold Point, and Kellogg Mountain.
There's a social trail that leads up to Leopold Point. Mix of wide open views and some welcome forested canopy. Infrequent mountain bike riders will be descending. Access mid-points to this trail can be made at Incinerator Ridge road "in season" when the gate is open. There is limited parking at that lot
Getting Started
Access the southern end of this hike by parking at the San Pedro Overlook. The hike begins at the uphill end of the lot. NOTE: There is a trail the leaves from the downhill end of the lot, that one heads to Green Mountain so be sure to leave from the "uphill"/northern end of the parking lot.
Taking Children
Long hike for young kids. Rough terrain.
