I enjoyed this hike. I did it the easy way, gondola up and then hike down. An unexpected treat was seeing a grizzly eating huckleberries (from a fair distance away) The trail crosses a few mountain bike trails but there are good warning signs.

Montana HikeAbout_3-06aug2022-Whitefish Mt_Danny On

10-hours of sleep - so good. Started the day with legit hotel room workout; STRTRN core areas and feet-centric. Good energy, good results. Then co-worker Mark and I decided to go into Whitefish. Ended up at Big Mountain Ski Resort. I'd been here before to do the gondola ride and alpine slide (2015?). This time, hiked the popular Danny On Memorial Trail. Took the aerial scenic ski lift to the summit and hiked down. The views and scenic surroundings exceeded expectations. I was fantasizing about returning for a trail run on these butter trails - tomorrow? I felt energetic and no residual soreness from yesterday. 95% free from Flu/crud/covid..? Bronchitis? Update, day-19, it still lingers.
