Overview

This is a moderate out-and-back trail in Three Sisters Wilderness. This trail goes by Linton Lake and Collier Cone lava flow. There is a campground at the lake and it is a very popular area in the summer. In the winter, the road to the trailhead may be closed. Always check the road condition of Hwy 242 prior to driving to the trailhead as gates may not yet be open. The road is only accessible by vehicles and RVs under 35 feet when the gates are open.

Getting Started

From Eugene, drive east on Hwy 126 to Hwy 242. Turn right on Hwy 242 and drive to Linton Lake trailhead. After you find parking (may be limited during the summer), take the trailhead on the north side of the road. The trail is marked well.

Taking Children

This is a moderate trail for most children. Bring bug spray and sunscreen as well as water.
