Sawtooth Mountain Loop(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate loop trail to Sawtooth Mountain in Indian Heaven Wilderness. The hike starts out in an open area of beargrass and huckleberries, then enters the forest. After 1.2 miles you'll reach a junction and turn onto the Sawtooth Mountain Trail. The trail goes up along the face of Sawtooth Mountain, but not all the way to its summit, then descends the other side, where it rejoins the PCT, which you will follow back to your car.

This trail goes by Berry Fields Interpretive Site.

Getting Started

The trail starts across the road from the trailhead parking area, heading south on the PCT.

Taking Children

There are some drop-offs on the Sawtooth Mountain Trail.
