@SnappyBrook5376 if the wind farm was there, this was private property when you did it. Enough portions west of Indian Hwy are private property as well, but people used to go anyway (as you did) since the gates only start going up recently. Some still do, with varying degrees of success.
I don't actually object, BTW... just being clear that most of the K-Trail West of the National Forest has been private for a long time. This is nothing new. Only the chains, gates, and markings are news. Make of that what you will.

This portion of the K Trail is now private property. It's too bad because it's amazing! Difficult! Rugged! Narrow! Truly epic! Sadly... now trespassing. (since you can't drive it check out our trip report: http://txgxoverland.com/2021/06/kiamichi-trail-in-oklahoma-was-epic-offroad-adventure/) You can drive the K Trail East - it's an easy to moderate trail for the first 8 miles, then gets very overgrown with brush. I would recommend it for an out and back trip. We drove it in May 2022.

Great 4x4 trail. We got a group of two Toyota Tacoma’s with minimum mods and made it out with only scratches. The first 1/4 of the trail is technical maybe class 4/5s. After that it’s smooth sailing.
I would rate 5/5 but the windmill company and many of the locals have taken to blocking the trails for the first 20 miles of the trail. It took us 2 days of trail riding to get through 60 miles of trail.
