We had a later start than we had planned. The patchy cloud of the morning had coalesced into a heavy cloud cover. We had a quick lunch in the Barren Grounds car park and headed off on the Griffiths Track in a clockwise direction.
Earlier rain had left the track wet. It wasn’t a problem for either of us, we just needed to be deliberate. Our first stop was the Illawarra Lookout.
