Parked at Cerro Grande Trail lot at 8am on Friday (0 cars). Crossed 4 and headed south on small trail. First half of hike is in pine first with burned trees. Trail is close to a forest service road with some traffic noise. Then you get to a loop in new aspen growth. The trail has no views here and gets claustrophobic. Signs or deer/elk but saw none. This trail is not worth doing again.

Distance: 5 miles
Total Vertical: 320 ft
Naismith: 1 hr 50 mins, stopped 7 mins, total 1 hr 52 mins.
O2: 1 cyl, outward on Bonsai Velocity, return on EasyPulse5, both 4 lpm
Elevation 8740 to 8950 ft.
Outward trip (we turned left each time), is shorter and all downhill. It took 45 mins. I used ⅔ of O2 cylinder with a Bonsai Velocity conserver at 4lpmand my SpO2 was ≤ 88% for 28% of the time. The return is slightly longer and mostly slightly uphill (left turns again to complete the loops). Took 1 hour 6 mins. Used ⅓ O2 cylinder on EasyPulse5 at 4 lpm, but my SpO2 was ≤ 88% for 67% of the time.
