Black Jack to Little Harbor(edit)

My favorite part of the trail so far. The first five miles to Airport in the Sky seemed easy today - maybe because I made an early start to beat the heat, maybe because it was a bit overcast and then once I got higher up the breeze kept me cool, or maybe because it was mostly a narrow dirt trail lined with flowers rather than the dirt roads I’ve been on the past few days. In any case, I was on track to reach the airport for an early lunch until I had to stop because of a herd of bison on the track. Waited for about an hour for them to move on enough that I could get around them. Lunch and a break at the airport, then on to Black Jack. Final stretch was hot and steep but mercifully short.
