Semaphore Lakes Trail
Semaphore Lakes Trail.
Good Trail, occasionally steep
The Semaphore lakes trail starts near Railroad pass and climbs quickly to the alpine at the head of Donelly and Railroad Creeks. From the alpine, a variety of possible routes present themselves. If you want an easy hike, there are numerous meadows and alpine kettle lakes. Above the meadows is a steep headwall and glacier, leading to Face Mountain or any one of the Railroad Group. Climbing the peaks is usually an extra day.<br>2015.11.02 - Ryan Allderman - Snow Level
..About 40 to 50 cm of snow at 1700m. Around 10cm at the trail head. We were able to ski to and from the summit of Locomotive with less than ten rock strikes (careful skiing).
2013.06.15 - Alexander Westbye - Much snow
..Decent amount of snow on trail from right after marshy area by parking lot/trail head. Flagging sporadically present, but was easy to follow the river to Semaphore lake. Lake is snow covered, but starting to thaw.
Drove to parking lot in a regular 2WD from Pemberton with no problems.
