KOA Kampground via Pacific Crest Trail(edit)

April 13, 2026 Beautiful hike for this portion of the PCT. The weather was near perfect with a little rain and the temp was 48-50°. Recommended Gear: Water- at least 2L per person depending on temps. We brought more Snacks- classic trail mix and chocolates Sunscreen and chapstick Sunglasses Hat Sunhoody Rain jacket- just in case Waterproof boots Hiking pants Jacket Water filter Dry Bags/liner- Hiking packs are not water proof Hiking poles Lunch food Pack is 65L+10 Deuter. It is a bigger pack however it was a good trail to break it in get it dirty and utilize. I would recommend a straight thru hike on this portion and arrange for a ride to pick you at either end. Total time was just over 6.5 hrs
