Jewel Lake Loop via Saddle Trail(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate loop trail to Jewel Lake in Mount Arrowsmith Massif Regional Park (RDN).

This trail goes slightly south of Mount Cokely and slightly north of Mount Arrowsmith.

Trail up the saddle is easy to follow. It begins on a overgrown logging road through second growth then enters old growth after 25min. After the saddle and down to Jewel Lake the trail is not well marked or booted. There is no trail that wraps around the lake. This requires scrambling and route finding.

Time indicated above is not accurate. This whole hike would take approximately 4-5 hours round trip.

Park at the saddle trailhead on Pass Main

Taking Children

Not recommended for children under 10. Hiking with children up to the saddle would be tough but doable. Would not take kids down to or around Jewel lake as it is too steep
