Slickrock Practice Loop
Overview
While shorter than the standard Slickrock Loop the Practice Loop is just as challenging!
Primarily a mountain biking trail, this path also gets traffic from motorcycles and hikers. Be alert and curious to other users.
Follow white blazes around short steep climbs and descents. Please be sure to stay on the slickrock and established trail in order to preserve the fragile living soil crust! All solid waste must be packed out.
Getting Started
Follow signs around town up to Sand Flats Recreation Area or Slickrock Bike Trail. There is currently a $5/vehicle day fee to enter this area. Park at the large signed parking area on the left. There are pit toilets available.
Taking Children
The steep climbs may be challenging for children. Loud motorcycles may also damage or distress young ears.
