Hiking Gavan Hill to the lookout is classic backdoor adventure for locals in Sitka. Accessing the trailhead is easy because the Gavan Hill trail starts off of the Cross Trail, which has entrances off many residential neighborhoods. The trail features a lot of stairs, so be prepared for a climb!
