Lost Lake Loop via Bison Trail(edit)

Back to hiking! We broke ourselves back into it with a 6 mile hike. Our instruction was to not talk the first hour of the hike. We were on a mission to experience the elk bugling. It paid off to keep quiet! We hiked toward the bugling and got lucky to spot the elk. They were on each ridge above us. They were bugling as if in a constant conversation and we were right in the middle of it. Listen to the videos. Also, I thought about my dad. Some men his age were in the group today and all I could think about was how much he would have enjoyed this experience. Love my outdoor activities!! They help feed my soul.
