Nantahala National Forest via Mouse Branch Loop(edit)

trail_hike_comments: Trail passes through some clearcuts, through some intact sections of forest. Shortest Tsali trail. Connects with new, 2.5 mile Mouse Branch Overlook Loop with excellent views of Fontana Lake. Like all the trails at Tsali, no steep climbs and no major obstacles., trail_bike_comments: Has one long, fast singletrack downhill, with a gradual climb up to it. Good views, trail passes over neat clearcut hills--in one spot, you can see the trail snaking over on the next ridge. Watch how quickly the forest can change as you go in and out of coves and along ridges. Connects to Mouse Branch Overlook Loop (see description below).
