Really enjoyable technical trail with good elevation. Great for running as well. The Merritt loop does need some maintenance- pretty soon after you branch off the connector (heading left) there are a couple of spots where brush blocks the trail and the trail can be a little challenging to find. Throughout the hike there are a few places you’ll need to duck under or climb over fallen branches and trees. However, it’s worth the trip. Approximately 1/2 way around the Merritt loop the trail drops down and you have easy access to the with beautiful views.
